CAN WE TALK ABOUT SEXUAL HARM?

OUR AIM

For any individual who has been affected by a sexual crime against them, that crime (or crimes) can be just the start of their experience. What is often less communicated about is ‘life after the crime’ and what it means to endure the harm generated by it.

Our aim through this website is to support public sector communications professionals to create and deliver communications and campaigns that make a genuine and positive difference to the lives of individuals who have experienced sexual offences, and to support journalists to report about this issue.

We believe that within the public sector we can create a new standard of excellence for campaigns and communications, and better support journalists as they report the stories which help shape and inform our society.

who we are

We are a group of very different people, some from the public sector and some not, all trying in our own way to prevent sexual offences and the harm they cause.

We are an independent project manager, an individual with lived experience of sexual harm who is a much-valued advisor, and staff at the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Devon, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
